How to convert an image to text
Optical character recognition (OCR) finds letters in a picture and turns them into text you can edit, search and paste. Here is how to get clean results.
1. Add your image
Drop a photo, screenshot or scanned page, paste it from your clipboard, or choose a file. JPG, JPEG, PNG and WebP images up to 10 MB are supported.
2. Pick the language
Choose the language the text is written in. The matching language data downloads once and is reused, so the next image converts faster.
3. Edit, copy or download

Tips for accurate photo to text results
- Screenshots convert best — the text is already crisp and straight.
- Photograph documents flat, in even light, without shadows or glare.
- Crop to just the text; logos and busy backgrounds add noise.

Limitations
