Troubleshooting
Start with the status column in your sheet — it usually names the problem directly.

My campaign is not sending
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| 0 rows matched | Condition value does not match the cell text | Check spelling, spacing and letter case in the condition |
| Skipped – No Email | Empty or malformed email cell | Fill in the address, then re-run |
| Skipped – Already Sent | Duplicate protection | Expected behaviour; use a new campaign to email again |
| Error on every row | Daily Gmail quota reached | Wait for the quota reset, then re-run |
| Nothing happens | Sidebar lost its session | Reload the sheet and reopen Mailvern |
Placeholders show as raw text
This means the placeholder name did not match a column header.
- Check for typos and trailing spaces in the header row.
- Use double braces, not single.
- Avoid merged cells in the header row.
- Reopen the sidebar so headers are re-read after renaming a column.
Tracking looks delayed or low
An open is only recorded when the recipient's email client loads images. Many clients block images by default, and some batch the request, so opens can appear minutes later or not at all.
My alias is not in the list
Mailvern shows the send-as addresses your Gmail account has already verified. Add and verify the alias in Gmail settings, then reopen the Mailvern sidebar.
I paid but my plan is not active
Subscriptions are linked to the Google account email you installed Mailvern with. If you paid with a different PayPal email, the plan will not attach automatically.
